Fundraising for Starfish Backpack Programme with cooperation of Samantha from Starfish, Oliver Fire Department, Jo from Oliver Missions Society, Canadian Tire, Cupe local and the community
Members of the Knights of Columbus - Fred and Barbara Macht and Dale Dodge - joined us at our December meeting to receive the groceries that the Oliver Lions Club collected for the Christmas Hampers - $1000.00. This is the Knights 50th year for spearheading the Christmas Hampers
Also joining us was Kyle Fossett from Search and Rescue - he gave a report on how busy they have been in 2021 with call outs for rescues and helping at fires and floods - helping not only in our community, but also in other communities. We presented him with a cheque for $450.00.
